About Us
About My Journey
My passion for racing pigeons runs deep. I’ve spent most of the early years competing at the West End Flyers Club (WEF) and currently competing at the Riverside Invitational Club (RIC), both racing at the combine level of the East Course Combine, driven by desire to prove myself and truly understand the challenges of the East Course. Through countless races, variable conditions, and years of hands-on experience, I’ve built a strong foundation of knowledge—knowledge that has helped me earn multiple wins at both the club and combine
levels.
What I’ve Learned
Throughout time, I’ve learned that successful racing isn’t just about the birds; it’s about the handler. Training, health, conditioning, and weather conditions all play a critical role in shaping a true champion pigeon. With effort, consistency, and perseverance, I’ve learned that pigeons perform like athletes: when you give them your best, they give their best back.
One Loft Racing Experience
Beyond the club competition, I’ve also entered numerous one loft races and earned several
prizes. Through this journey, I realized what kind of event I would want to participate in—one
that focuses on performance, fairness, and real competition without excessive costs. That vision
inspired the creation of the Inland Empire Late Hatch Challenge.
The Inland Empire Late Hatch Challenge
Race Series Overview
This seven-race series is designed for breeders who want both challenge and value.
The course is a demanding westbound (East Course) route known for its variable winds, shifting
terrains, desert stretches, mountain elevations, and unpredictable weather. It is recognized as one
of the most challenging routes in One Loft Racing.
Birds fly from Arizona into California, with the final race distance of 346 miles, featuring
progressive distances that test consistency rather than extremes.
Training & Race Structure
Every bird receives proper training, fair preparation, and ample wing time leading up to and
throughout the series. Races are flown roughly a week apart (weather permitting), and average
speed is calculated across all seven qualified races, starting with the activation race.
Who This Race Is For
This event was built for breeders who:
• Love the sport
• Want to test their families of birds on a proven course
• Appreciate a competitive race series at a budget friendly cost
